Realtors- There are more opportunities before you these days than you realize. You have the ability through the Internet to spread your message across the world like never before. Times are hard and now is not the time to give up or give in. You have to want it and you have to ask for the business. Most of the time business is not going to find you and while you are kicked back waiting on it to come your way, someone else is already chasing the business down and claiming it as their own.
You have to see past all the negatives that surround our every day lives at the moment and know that if you are willing to do what it takes to make things better then they will usually get better. Now is not the time to walk past a stone and leave that stone unturned. Rather, now is the time to make waves and make noise and reap the rewards of your best efforts. Are you giving it your best effort, or are you just waiting on everything to turn around on it's on in the hopes that you will some how survive to remain standing? This is a decision that you and you alone will have to make. Are you willing to throw your hat in the race or are you content with hanging out with the pit crew in hopes to battle another day?
Consumers- The economy is a scary place at the moment, and I will refrain from making everything sound rose colored. The fact is that times are just as hard for many of you as they are for many of us. But are you willing to allow fear to ruin opportunity and just give up on what you want out of life? When I was younger I wanted to own a home. I wanted a place to call my own and the ability to say that it was mine. I couldn't afford much, but what I could afford I was proud of and my wife and I made it our own.
Interest rates are at historic lows, days on the market are up, and there is a ton of inventory available on the market. The ball is firmly in your court and you have an excellent opportunity to have a place to call your own. A house that you can buy and make a home instead of that apartment that will never show you any return on investment. The fact of the matter is that the real estate market and the economy at large rises and falls. It always has and it always will, and where we have fallen now, we will again rise. So will those interest rates and away will go the incentives that so many new home communities and sellers are willing to fork out in order to sell their homes at the moment.
We all have to live in the present and at this moment, sellers have to be very realistic about the fact that they have more competition in the cuurent market than the buyers do. Lately here in Columbia I have noticed an increase in traffic and business and I have spoken with others who have seen the same. Buyers are slowly but surely starting to come off the fence and realize that they have an ecellent opportunity to snatch up that perfect home before someone else does. While I am not asking you to take my word for, I can almost assure you that this too shall pass. And when it does, will you be left with the feeling that you allowed it to pass you by?
