Recently I have been asked to help the MDA. The Mucular Distrphy Association in Northeast Columbia is holding a fundraiser to accumlate money for research and to send dissabled children to camp. I have been asked to participate by becoming one the volunteers that will be locked up Wednesday October 1st at 10am. They have set my bail and have asked that I raise all I can prior to that day.
How can you help? Well, since you ask, a donation would be greatly appreciated. But, rather than asking for the typical $20-$25 donations that we are incouraged to, I will only ask for $1. That's all I want from each person willing to donate to this cause. Granted, if you wish to donate more, that would be great. However, rather than asking for a few people to donate a lot, I would rather see a lot of people donate a little each. So, would you be willing to donate $1 to help?
If so, please follow the link and help us out! Thank you for your time and consideration!

How wonderful of you to do this, and how wise to only ask for a dollar. In these times, few may have 20 to spare, but most eveyone will have a dollar. I'll do it for you, and I bet you get tons more.
Come back next week and let us know what the AR total was?
I am in the same spot JL...They have set my bail at $2000. Last time I was lucky and got out on 1500. We'll call us a wash!
My son has MD and I want to thank you for your participation. And you as well William. It's a good thing you do. My uncle is a local assistant fire chief here in my home town and he raises so much each year. And I'm so grateful. Research is so very important.
Toni- Thank you so much for your help. I will get tons more by the time I'm done, but it doesn't look like it will be from AR.
Bill- Let me know the next time you need help. I usually donate to this fund raiser and others several times a year.
Tammy- There is no need to thank me, what I do is only a drop in the bucket when all is said and done. Thank you, I hope that your son is doing well. Take care.
Just visited you JL! My brother-in-law & niece both have MD.....they have come a long way to fight this disease.
Mandi- I hope that all is going well for your brother-in-law and your niece. Thank you so much for the generous donation.
So JL, did you show up in a cape? How did the event go?
April
April- No cape, but despite the lack of wardrobe, I still did alright.
