Throwback Thursday - Steel Drums on Main Street

Steel Drums on Main Street

This picture was taken on one of our many trips to the Soda City Market on Main Street Columbia. The Steel Drums are a permanent display found on the 1400 block of Main Street and were installed as part of a public art display. They are a great place to rest or as my little people like to prove, it's a great place to make a little noise too.

Fun!  I visited Columbia, SC a long time ago on a business trip and loved the downtown area.

How cool is that!  I love when cities and communities create space where people can delightfully interact.  Ah, Columbia, South Carolina. . .Now you are getting close to where my family placed roots when coming to America in the 1700s.
