JL's Columbia SC Real Estate Blog: Don't Let Your Leads Waste Away

Don't Let Your Leads Waste Away

Blythewood, SC Homes for Sale  Everyone knows that the life blood of this business is to get leads and to tell you the truth, everyone pays for them. Whether you spend hours pushing your website and blog through the ranks, work your sphere, or hire a third party. You pay for those leads one way or another whether that's with time and effort or with money.

So why would you not maintain the leads once you get them? The fact is thing will fall apart without proper maintenance and your hard earned or purchased leads are no different. This is why follow up and the right system to do so is paramount to your success in real estate. If a lead is left to it's on devices, it will simply go to waste.

And what is the very best system that you can use for follow up? That's simple, it's Blythwood, SC Homes for Salewhatever system you will use. There are several very affordable CRM's out there and each has their own unique set of bells and whistles. Chances are none of them do every single thing you might want it to, so whichever one you like enough to use is the best for you.

If you happen to feel better with a pen and pad, then head over to office max and knock yourself out. Just like everything else in this business, there is no one size fits all solution to follow up. So with that in mind, you need to try a few things or build a system that you will use and that works for you. Each time you let a lead go to waste do to a lack of follow up, you just throw money away. And since you have already gone through the effort of either by or earn said lead in the first place, why wouldn't you want to go through the effort of seeing what can come of it?

Hi JL, it's the same with everything. People ask us what is the best camera or device for shooting video - our answer, the one you're going to use. As for contact managment, we use Realty Juggler and it works well for us. D

Follow up is a very important skill in our industry.  Having a system in place to do just that is critical.

JL,

Follow up is a lost art for some.  Ron's uncle used to take leads that his salespeople threw away and make a sale.  That is how he and Ron's dad started a furniture business which they later sold and retired.  A

I like your suggestion to not let leads get away.  I once worked with an agent, who worked phones like no one I ever saw before.  He'd get a potential client, but, wouldn't seem to be as persistent working and following up with them, as he had working the phones.  It was a real issue.

Excellent reminder...no fancy sytems needed.  Just straight up follow up.

And yes JL, any system that works for you is a great sytem to use.

Good information and reminders to us all.  Thank you.
