The Return of the Investors

 In the past two weeks I have received three phone calls from different investors who are now ready to begin looking for properties to buy. Two are searching for single family properties while the other is much more interested in multifamily units.

 Lately my entire office has been very busy and things are starting to gear up. We had a slow January overall, but here in March we are wide open so far. There are also a few other agents in the office are currently working with investors who are very ready to buy.

 So, maybe people have begun to realize that rates are awesome and there are great deals out there just waiting. Here in Columbia, we never saw the market bottom out the way it did in other parts of the country, but we did see a lot of investors shy away from putting money into the market. Well, if this month is any indication, the Columbia investors are no longer afraid to invest in real estate. Hopefully many of you out there are beginning to see some of the same trends.

JL, I have to agree 100%.  Investors are busy in my area.  We never really saw the market collapse here.  I think that the media is more to blame than the actual "subprime lenders."  It seems the Carolinas are stronger than many other areas.  What's worse gas price increases or real estate problems created by the media?

That is good....lets start liquidating the glut inventory of Real Estate. this is good news.

So much for the gloom and doom in the headlines!  I'm glad to hear you're experiencing it as well, as I was hoping it wasn't just the "tourist season" hitting Myrtle Beach.  It's time to turn this market around.  Best of luck to you!

Marc- At the moment, I would have to say gas prices, but if I were in other parts of the country maybe the whole real estate thing. Hopefully we will one day get some relief from both.

Joining a investment company was one of the smartest things I ever did in my entire real estate career. I get all of my listings from investors. In fact, I have networked with investor all over the tri-state area who want to utilize my services. I would emplore every Realtor to make that connection.
