In the battle of the Tortoise and the Hare, slow and steady won the race. But these days I don't know how well the tortoise would do in the business of real estate.
Consumers are demanding ever faster results and have become far too used to lighting fast answers right at their fingertips. While you can get a moment to catch your breath once and a while, when you have something that needs to be done, my advice is to get it done as quick as possible.
When your clients make a request, make it happen as soon as you can. When someone makes an online inquiry, get them the information they want as soon as you can and follow up. Speed has become the name of the game when people want answers. And as much as I love the Internet and use it as a tool to my advantage, in all honesty it's only making things worse where required speed is concerned.

Good morning sir,
I am thinking that we need to be moving at the speed of the internet or at least close to, just to be able to keep up with the buyers/business.
JL...I think that the tortise needs to strap on some roller skates now days!
JL ----today, one must be quick thinking and quick acting -- I like the idea of the tortise and roller skates --

JL- It's a bit of a juggling act, I think. We definitely need to be sure to act quickly, but we also need to have the patience of the tortoise, especially when working with first time buyers.
You are absolutely right. Get right on it. Its the fast and efficient service that will get you the repeat business. If a client is always following up with you, then they will remember when their friends ask them how the experience was.
Can't be said enough J.L. Today you have to response at lighting speed and be brief and to the point when you respond!
