As I wrote in my last post, this weekend I got make my very first snowman. As the snow continued into the night, he actually managed to get a little larger, but I think in the end that created his downfall.
A couple of time throughout the evening, I would walk out into the cul de sac where he stood and see that he had started to lean to one side or the other. I would push him back straight and try to get him settled back in place. I must have repeated that process at least 4 times before I finally had to tell him that he was on his own.
The next morning I walked out around 6 am to find that the night was more than he could bare. I know he fought the good fight, but in the end wind and snow proved to be more than he could bare.

HA HA...that isn't a bad sign. Dry Ice...that would have made things easier for him!
I think the folks up at the Olympics are feeling your pain!
JL - I actually envy the fact that you were able to make a snowman. I have only been able to do this with my kids one time in their lives, and my son is 11 years old!
Better luck next time! You just don't get enough practice...and there is no way he'd stay up for very long in your nice climate. Great stab at it though. Hope you got a photo of when he looked his best. With any luck you won't have that opportunity any time in the future. But, with global warming, who knows? Maybe another one or two next year?
Hello JL - Sorry to hear he didn't make it. I think you you should get back out there and try, try again!
JL...
It got warm here this afternoon too, but more snow is on the way tomorrow!
You probably talked him to death ;-) Good to "see" you again, J.L.
