Recently while reading an article that caught my eye on teh front page of Yahoo, I made a discovery about the state of South Carolina. Recently Livesciance.com did a study to determine a rank for all 50 states and the District of Columbia to determine the happiest states in America.
The study used a couple of data sources to distinguish each area and make a complete list. So where do we South Carolinians rank against the rest of the nation? We came in at number 8 in the nation, making us the 8th happiest state in America.
So, I guess if you were ever wondering if you would be happier in another state, here's your opportunity to find out the chances if you will be.
You can read the full report here and see where all 50 states and D.C. stacked up. Columbia, SC Homes for Sale.

Hmmm....I'll have to check SC out when I've grown tired of the "The Live Free or Die State of NH!"
Patricia/Seacoast NH
I am not sure I can agree with that...but then again, if people move there from here...I will be a lot happier with the extra space. ;-}
That's pretty cool. I'm going to have to check out the site. I'm interested in the factors they used to determine happiness. Fascinating... really! lol
I checked it out...so they included DC on the happiness list so that makes 51 places that were ranked. New Jersey came in at 49th, just a little happier than New York and Connecticut! We're cranky!!! LOL
I read that too !! Hopefully that means many more residents that you can sell homes to in 2010 !!!
Cheers JL !
JL - There are many times I get happy in SC. When I go to the beach at the Isle of Palms, When I go to Charleston, and when I get a mustard BBQ sandwich in Columbia. And most of all , when I sell a home in York or Lancaster county, SC. Cheers to being happy
Does that mean that you do not welcome any 'unhappy' residents? Trying to work your way to number uno...
Hi JL-That explains why you are such a nice fellow. Have a great Christmas my friend. <SMILE>
