Columbia, SC Real Estate
In this day and age of doom and gloom it's always nice to hear some good news. According to Forbes Magazine, Columbia, SC is one of the fastest recovering markets in the nation.
The list was on the front page of Yahoo today and uses as always, several key factors in determining which U.S. are currently recovering the fastest. The Columbia, SC Metro area ranked 35 on that list. I'd say to be number 35 out of all the cities in the United States sounds pretty good to me.

JL...it is reports like these that will help you stay on top of the market in your area.
Hello my friend-Looks like your area is the place to be. It is indeed wonderful to hear some positive among so much negative. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post any recipes for you. I did however do a post or two with you in it. Don't worry all good. <SMILE>
JL,
Thank you for sharing the report and congrats on Columbia, SC's good ranking. The St. Louis metro area came in at #68. We have our work cut out for us.

I would agree with Forbes Magazine. Columbia South Caroline will lead the way to the housing market recovery.
Good luck and success.

That's great news...now I'll check out the link and see where NJ stands!
JL - Good News ! And any good news in our business is welcome. Hoping this trancends into more closings for you.
I learned when I purchased my home in 2006 that there was never a real "bubble" here in Columbia, SC, and so the price to value ratio was relatively equal as compared to the rest of the nation, where the gap was wide. It stands to reason, then, that even in a downturn, the return to normal would be more rapid in such a market. I am happy to hear this report!
