Recently I saw a news report that said our Governor, Mark Sanford, seems to have disappeared. His office has not really commented on his where abouts, and when Mrs. Sanford was questioned she told reporters that she is unaware of his location. The only thing she knew was that he said at one point he needed some time away from the children to write something.
If this seems a little ambiguous, you are not alone. The only thing that I really know at this point is that news stations are reporting that the Governor of South Carolina is currently missing. Friends who were contacted by the media have made the statement that he is tired after a hard battle at the State House due to the stimulus package that Stanford did not want to accept from the Federal Government. However, they also report that they do not know where he is either.
So with all that in mind, if you see Mark Sanford out anywhere, tell him to call his wife. If she really doesn't know where he is, she is likely a little worried at the moment. If you get the impression that I do, that she knows where he is and he just wants the media to leave him alone, then just ignore the guy if you happen across him. He may just want to take a day off.

You are one busy little person, today, JL --- is this a joke or is for real?
Liz- It may turn into a big joke, but I saw the report on the news not long ago. So, apparently the Media is taking it serious at the moment.
JL...JL...JL...
Now what did you do with him? You can tell us, we'll keep it a secret.
Richard- Believe it or not, for once I had nothing to do with it. I don't know where he is either, but I'm sure he'll pop up soon.
JL ~Feel free to take ours
Hugh- I don't know big guy, you seem all too willing to get rid of them.
JL,
He is probably trying to write a featured post for AR.
When I need some time away from the children to write something, I just head into my office and shut the door. Doesn't keep the little buggers out, but I don't have the luxury of disappearing to go pout. Granted, I'm sure the governor has bigger problems than us lowly constituents. Oh, who cares... he's not my governer anyway!
Soryy JL...we will be keeping ours for the time being...If he doesn't run for President!
JL - theres's that guy from Illinois, that's going around taking any gig he can get, you know, Bagosh!t or however you pronounce his name. And he has hair almost as bad as Trump's!
you can have mine.
Seriously? He just disappeared? Do they suspect foul play, or do they think he just took off of his own volition?
Good luck in finding him. You know how hard these guys work, they hardly get any time off so they have to steal away.
Hi JL-Live in a fishbowl has it own special kind of headaches. Seems like they can't go to the bathroom without the whole world watching. He will likely turn up with a great story. Have a great day. <SMILE>
He is allegedly in the mountains hiking.I don't have a problem with his time off but let the state know when your taking it! Im all for Nikkie Haley to take his spot early!
Irene- I thought that was possible.
Susan- There for a few days, I don't think that he was anyones Governor.
Bill- If you have one you like, hang on while you can.
Mike- At least his hair would take attention away from his poor policies.
Cheri'- You sound far too willing to trade.
Lisa- He just took time off, they have found him now.
Don- Funny you should use the word steal when you speak of a politician.
Sharon- He turned up and the news is now reporting that he was hiking.
Laura- Would be nice to communicate I suppose, you may be on to something there.
JL - Reports are he is hiking in the mountains. Someone must have told him to take a hike. Our's here in NC is too busy spending money right now . Soon as she runs out we'll send her down there to spend some more.
That is funny. I did hear about this (through a twitter update). I didnt clink the link to the story though, because you never know. If I happen to run into him, I'll let you know so at least YOU will know where your Governor is.
I believes the suspense is now ended. DRAT - I wish our Gov. had joined him, gotten lost, and become the permanent member of some hill family akin to Deliverance.
He's pushing for a .5% state tax increase so he can get a balanced budget by the end of June. Why didn't I think of that!!! Instead of doing away with certain luxuries in my life, I could have just asked all my friends for cash, say 50.00, to cover it. WALLA - a balanced budget without suffering!
Wish we could lose this clown!
Claude- I saw the reports on that this morning. It doesn't sound like I need your Governor my friend.
John- I appreciate all the help I can get big guy, thank you.
Scott- Sounds like you guys have a real winner on your hands. I need to somehow figure out a way to make others pay for all my stuff too.
I am just trying to do my part.
John- I want you to know that it means a lot to me my friend. But in all honesty, he was missing for 4 days before anyone seemed to notice, so maybe we shouldn't be looking for him too hard now.
HA... 4 days? Thats crazy! How is a Governor missing for that long and no one notice?? Good luck to you my friend. If nothing went wrong, perhaps you can just leave that position vacant.
John- A vacancy in Government is usually just fine. It's not until you realize that they are missing that they never really did anything in the first place.
Alan- You know I've heard of that guy, and I'm honestly going to have to take a pass on that one. Maybe just not having a Governor won't be so bad after all.
my thought exactly.
Alan- I figured that might be where you were headed.
Did they find him? Damn - I was just getting ready to send Arnie over. It would be terrific if he'd disappear for a few days while the budget talks are going on.
JL - Thought I would Congratulate you for finding your Governor. LOL Seems he was not really missing, but was hiding. Had to come back to your blog and wish you the best. Not sure how "Three's Company" works in South Carolina but perhaps we will find out.
Gene- I'm afraid we found the guy, I'll bet he wishes he hadn't come back now.
John- Something tells me this whole thing will not end well for him.
I guess you'll be doing a sequel real soon?...Ahh I see by the comments its in the works.....:-)
Liz- Yes, I'll have to do an update on this one.
JL~The offer for our Governor still stands since yours will probably resign. We lost a Governor to a sex scandal a few years back but instead od meeting his girlfriend in Argentina ours was meeting his boyfriend on Nj turnpike truckstops.
Hugh- Well, in the end, what could we expect? I like to have high expectations of people in public office, but they always seem to let me down.
