JL's Columbia SC Real Estate Blog: January 2008

Keep your head up!

The world will kick you every time that you're down. This is an unfortunate, but proven fact. So, my suggestion is that you never really give it the chance. The fact of the matter is that success is measured by you and you alone. It is an opinion and not a statistic. If you are happy with yourself and with your life when you lay your head down at night, you are successful.

Too many people spend far too much time relying on others to decide when they have achieved success. This is no way to live your life. Your standards and the standards of other people are not the same. So, why waste all the time and energy it takes to worry about what others think of you. Instead spend your time concerning yourself with how you feel about what you've done. And when you figure out a way to no longer worry about how others think of you, and focus on the good and not the bad, please tell me how.
